About Soulful Psychotherapy
Our vision is to promote a holistic approach to mental health through evidence-based practice and practice-based therapy. As we adapt to the demands of a competitive society, the escalating high cost of living, and a pandemic focused health care system, our relationships with self and others become vulnerable. We have less time available to cultivate healthy relationships for ourselves and others.
The Soulful approach is different to other practices because we recognise that traditional talking therapies can lack soulful connections and often require additional modalities to deliver a holistic approach to modern healing.
Soulful Psychotherapy is based locally in the Hunter Valley Region of New South Wales, with additional locations in Woy Woy on the Central Coast, and Bellbird in Cessnock. Sally is trained in evidence-based therapies with membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Current Work
Sally is a mental health clinician, working for many years with children, young people, and their families, in the out of home care sector. She has developed a sophisticated understanding of complex trauma and adverse childhood experiences.
Currently working for NSW Victim Services, Sally also works with First Nations people presenting with addictions at a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre. She says most of her clients present with unresolved childhood trauma which is often the cause of the addiction and unhelpful coping styles.
Sally is also passionate about helping couples with relationship issues. She provides relationship counselling using the unique method of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help couples move through current and past issues that prevent them from living their partnership in harmony. In a non-judgement space, Sally helps couples to identify foundational issues and support to navigate into an improved relationship or uncoupling.
